Inspired by the use of lighting equipment by a photographer, PODGY strives for precise lighting that serves the needs of daily life. By combining several classic elements from the Scandinavian design heritage with a refined expression that focuses on composition and materiality, Kryer-Stter-Lassen has transported PODGY to a contemporary present. An integral part of PODGY is a honeycomb aluminium structure that emits a pleasantly diffused light and at the same time allows directional lighting. The honeycomb array was originally used by photographers to create a soft and controlled light in the studio. With the spherical dimmer on the top of the PODGY, you can adjust the density and intensity of the light and also change the look and feel of the lamp, creating a playful interaction between the lamp and you.
